A Veterans Voice Welcomes You!

A Veterans Voice exists to recognize and support the United States Military service men and women who have served our great country.

A Veterans Voice “AVV” a 501 (c) 3 non profit Veterans Advocacy Foundation began as one man’s journey to honor the U.S. military service men and women that have served and fallen in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Frank G. Hutchinson III, the founder of AVV, is the son of a U.S. Marine and having grown up on Marine bases, is very passionate about Veteran Advocacy.

In 2009, Frank, who is an avid climber and mountaineer, decided to honor the men and women serving our country in Afghanistan and Iraq by creating two leather-bound books, Book of Names Served and Book of Names Fallen Warriors and carry those books with him on an expedition to the top of Mount Everest. The Book of Names Fallen Warriors contains the names of those who have paid the ultimate price in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, and the Book of Names Served represents all the warriors who have served in those wars. Both books reached the Summit of Mount Everest on Memorial Day week-end 2009. A Veterans Voice was established as an entity to hold and preserve the books and Frank envisioned a place where all Americans can serve, support and honor the men and women of our United States Military and be a voice for our Veterans.

Since the expedition to Mount Everest Frank has spoken about supporting our service men and women to audiences as varied as the annual meeting of the Toro Corporation to the annual Veterans Day Celebration in Falls City, Nebraska. In the past year AVV, with input from active and retired military as well as other Veteran Advocacy groups, has been discussing how to grow and expand AVV with an emphasis on serving the large and rapidly expanding Austin and Central Texas area Veteran population.

AVV has made a goal to implement and provide rehabilitation and reintegration programs to U.S. military Veterans. There will be no cost to the Veterans for these programs. The Crucible, a 5K U.S. military battle themed, obstacle and running course, has been built as a vehicle to generate funds that will allow AVV to implement these much needed programs for our Veterans.
